Katie BaileyThe 2026 Alabama Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) event welcomed 130 attendees last week, marking the largest gathering to date since the Alabama chapter’s launch in 2023.
Women leaders representing credit unions across the state gathered at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama for a fast-paced, derby-themed day featuring sessions on topics ranging from mental health and goal setting to bold, values-driven leadership.
State Representative Susan Dubose (District 45) joined the group and shared insights on leading and advocating for the benefit of the community, encouraging attendees to remain tenacious in their work and leadership.
“Seeing women from across the state in the credit union movement come together to share ideas and support one another was truly inspiring,” said Ashley Mobley, Vice President of Compliance at Listerhill Credit Union. “I’m proud to be part of the credit union movement and to champion women leaders through GWLN.”
