Members of Congress sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Wednesday urging him to provide greater clarity through the legislative process regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for website accessibility. The letter sites the growing problem of frivolous lawsuits being filed under the guise of ADA violation, when in fact the plaintiffs are simply seeking a financial settlement.

Alabama representatives who have signed the letter are: Mo Brooks, Martha Roby, and Gary Palmer. Florida representatives adding their names to the document are: Bill Posey, Dennis Ross, Ted Yoho, Francis Rooney, and John Rutherford.
