FL CUs assist victims of school shootings

As families in Florida grieve the tragedy of those who died and were injured in the shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, credit unions in Broward County are doing what they can to assist in this time of need. Among them are BrightStar Credit Union, originally chartered as the Broward Schools Credit Union, and others in the Broward Chapter of Credit Unions.

To assist families affected, BrightStar made a donation to Broward Schools and also is promoting the official GoFundMe page set up by the Broward Education Foundation.  Cooperatives that are members of the Broward Chapter of Credit Unions will hold a fundraising raffle next week for families that were affected by this tragedy.
