Android Pay to begin Oct. 5

Android-Pay-logoThe new Android Pay was officially announced last week. It’s being touted as a simple and secure way to make purchases with an Android phone. The release stated that Android Pay is welcome at more than one million locations across the country. Navy Federal Credit Union is among the first financial institutions to offer it.

Android Pay will also have the ability to store gift cards, loyalty cards and special offers right on your phone. Android Pay works with all NFC-enabled Android devices (running KitKat 4.4+), on any mobile carrier. Apple Pay is still considered more sophisticated but it’s another competitor on the market for credit unions.
