We Florida Financial Credit Union, in Margate, Florida, recently donated $10,000 to support Jamaican credit union employees impacted by Hurricane Melissa. Working alongside the Jamaica Cooperative Credit Union League and the Office of the Consul General, the contribution provided direct relief to 127 employees who experienced significant losses.
In addition to the financial support, the credit union partnered on broader hurricane relief efforts, using its Florida branches as collection points for food and supplies to assist communities in Jamaica and Haiti. The effort reflects a strong commitment to people-first recovery and global cooperation within the credit union movement.
