WCU Credit Union Leads the Way in Community Support

At the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU), we firmly believe in the importance of supporting our communities by engaging in initiatives that align with their needs. Financial education has been a significant focus in recent years, and WCU Credit Union has truly embraced this commitment. The credit union recently developed a Financial Education program that they bring directly into local schools, where it’s taught as part of the curriculum. The program reaches both 8th graders and high school seniors, and its success has led to expansion into more schools every year.

WCU Credit Union also recognizes that food insecurity remains a pressing issue within our communities. To help address this, they organized a Food and Fund Drive throughout September across their two branches. This effort was well-received by members, and they’re considering holding another drive either later this year or in early 2025.

We appreciate WCU Credit Union and the commitment they have to providing financial wellness and resources to their communities.
