Eglin Federal Credit Union Opens New DeFuniak Springs Branch

Eglin Federal Credit Union, located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, celebrated the grand opening of its new DeFuniak Springs Branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 25. Located at 677 US Highway 90 W, this is Eglin FCU’s second full-service branch and third location in Walton County. The Freeport Branch opened in July 2024, and the Santa Rosa Beach ATM/Video Teller Drive-thru located at 4634 U.S. Highway 98 W opened on May 11.

“Our newest branch in DeFuniak Springs continues our tradition of delivering five-star service, personalized support and meaningful financial guidance to help our members achieve their goals,” said Eglin Federal Credit Union President and CEO Cathie Staton. “Our members have looked forward to a full-service branch in DeFuniak Springs for many years, and I’m excited that day has finally arrived. The community was invited to “Swing By and Stay Cool” at the event. Cumulus Broadcasting was on site spinning some tunes, Dippin’ Dots was offered and a drawing was held for two lucky attendees to enter and win a Yeti® Roadie cooler.

The DeFuniak Springs Branch is approximately 4,400 square feet with an open design that features interactive touchscreens, a Coinstar™ machine, night drop, touchscreen Video Tellers and drive-thru ATMs, ensuring members have convenient access to their accounts.

La Macchia Group is the design/build firm for the new DeFuniak Springs Branch. La Macchia also designed and built our recently opened Pace Branch, Freeport Branch, Operations Center and Santa Rosa Beach ATM/Video Teller Drive-thru.
