Robins Financial Credit Union, located in Warner Robins, Georgia, recently donated $260,000 to twelve local non-profit organizations through their annual Community Project initiative.

Each year, Robins Financial Credit Union invites local non-profits serving communities within their 45-county service area to apply to receive funding based on their mission and impact on the community. The following recipients represent a diverse range of causes including education, healthcare, housing, food security, and basic needs assistance:

  • Georgia College & State University
  • Habitat for Humanity of Putnam
  • Houston County School District
  • O.Y. CLINIC
  • Macon Outreach at Mulberry
  • Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia, Inc
  • Middle Georgia Community Action Agency, Inc.
  • Mother’s Nest
  • Telfair County Ferst Readers

  • The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia
  • United in Pink

“We express deep gratitude for the grant from Robins Financial Credit Union which addresses critical infrastructure needs for the Carter Crossing development,” said Murali Thirumal, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Putnam County. “This funding enables the immediate construction of septic systems, water infrastructure, and site preparation for the first six homes in the subdivision. Through this partnership, the ministry advances its mission to establish safe, affordable workforce housing for local families.”

Since beginning the Community Project initiative in 2015, Robins Financial Credit Union has been able to give back more than $2.3 million to non-profit organizations making a lasting impact within the communities.

“Our Community Proud commitment is about investing in the people and organizations working every day to make our communities stronger,” said Christina O’Brien, President and CEO of Robins Financial Credit Union. “Through this year’s Community Project initiative, Robins Financial Credit Union is honored to recognize twelve deserving organizations and help provide resources that can turn their ideas and efforts into lasting, positive impact.”
