The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates was proud to feature the return of the Innovation Incubator at this year’s VISION Conference, held August 18 – 20, at The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama. Presented by FiLab at the Filene Research Institute, the Innovation Incubator provided a dedicated space for breakthrough ideas and technology to be showcased directly to credit union leaders. This year’s winning innovation was Casap.
The high-energy, hands-on experience featured five solution providers from FiLab’s testing cohort, a major pillar of Filene Research Institute’s innovation work. Throughout the conference, attendees had the opportunity to explore each innovation, engage in live demonstrations, and connect directly with the innovators behind the solutions.
“This isn’t just about technology,” said Samantha A.M. Beeler, President of The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates. “It’s about creating a culture that welcomes experimentation, encourages open dialogue, and stays grounded in the realities credit unions and their members face every day. Innovation should lead to meaningful outcomes, and that’s the work we’re committed to advancing together.”
The 2025 Innovation Incubator featured a diverse mix of forward-thinking companies. Casap presented a tool to help credit unions manage disputes and chargebacks more efficiently, using AI to reduce fraud and cut down manual tasks. Changed offered a white-labeled solution that rounds up members’ everyday purchases to help them pay down debt and build savings. Conductiv introduced a data layer platform designed to improve loan approval rates and reduce fraud by digitally gathering income and verification data. IDgo focused on mobile-based authentication, aiming to reduce impersonation risks and simplify user verification. Senso shared technology to streamline operations, ensure documents and policies stay up to date, and unlock insights from internal conversations.
“The Innovation Incubator gives us a direct line between early-stage solutions and credit unions that are eager to explore what’s next,” said Megan Freshour, Incubation Director for the Filene Research Institute. “It’s a testing ground for ideas that could transform the member experience, improve operations, and solve real challenges. We’re proud to help create a space where innovation and impact move forward together.”
The League extends its appreciation to FiLab at the Filene Research Institute, the participating companies, and the attendees who contributed their time, curiosity, and insights to this collaborative initiative.
