Katie BaileyCredit Union Miracle Day recently released its 2026 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Impact Report, highlighting the collective impact of credit unions, runners, and supporters through the annual Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5K.
The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates was strongly represented in this year’s event, with 3,232 runners from 36 credit unions across The League’s footprint participating in the 2026 Credit Union Cherry Blossom.
Nationwide, the event raised $506,230 for Children’s Miracle Network through credit union sponsorships and runner donations, bringing the total donated since 2002 to more than $12.5 million.
Additional highlights include:
- 35,000 runners participating in the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile or 5K
- 7,148 credit union members representing 185 credit unions participating in 2026
- More than 1,000 Capitol Hill runners participating as part of 150 teams
Funds raised through the event support local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, including hospitals throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia.
