Tuscaloosa Chapter Hosts Local Lawmakers for Legislative Breakfast

The League’s Tuscaloosa Chapter brought together credit union leaders and local lawmakers for a legislative breakfast focused on relationship-building and legislative priorities.

The event welcomed State Senators Gerald Allen and Matt Woods, along with State Representatives Brian Brinyark, Bill Lamb, and Curtis Travis. Each lawmaker shared updates from their districts and offered insights into the upcoming legislative session.

Representing the credit union movement were Steve Swofford and June Landrum of Alabama Credit Union and Scott Ryan of Riverfall Credit Union, along with Tuscaloosa Chapter Officers and other local credit union professionals.

Chapter Officers played a key role in organizing the event, which created meaningful opportunities for credit unions to advocate directly with lawmakers and reinforce their commitment to serving local communities.

These types of conversations ensure credit union voices are heard at the State House and help strengthen relationships that support advocacy efforts statewide.
