Lizeth GeorgeTuesday evening, Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) filed the Credit Card Competition Act (interchange regulation) as an amendment to the Senate version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which the Senate is expected to vote on next week. Based on conversations with Senate staff, it appears Senators Marshall and Durbin are pushing for a vote on the floor, which means members will be forced to go on the record choosing between main street businesses and local financial institutions – something no member of Congress or the Senate wants to do.
To prevent a floor vote, we need a full court press to demonstrate the full impact of this amendment and our adamant opposition.
