While the Florida Cabinet still looks to replace ousted Florida Office of Financial Regulation Commissioner Ron Rubin, OFR Director of Financial Institutions informed his team, and the League, that Ben Brinkley is being promoted to Credit Union Bureau Chief to replace Bruce Ricca.

Brinkley has been with the OFR since July 2005. He started as a credit union examiner in the Jacksonville Field Office. He quickly rose and became an analyst in the Tallahassee Headquarters, serving both in the Credit Union Bureau and South Florida Banking Bureau. He earned a promotion to the Financial Administrator over the South Florida Banking Bureau in 2012, before rejoining the Tallahassee Credit Union Field Office as a supervisor in 2014 and becoming Area Financial Manager in 2017.

The LSCU looks forward to working with Brinkley on issues important to credit unions.
