Florida Credit Union Association Honors Kevin Miller as 2025 Advocate of the Year

The Florida Credit Union Association, a subsidiary of The League of Credit Unions, recognized Kevin Miller, President and CEO of Addition Financial Credit Union, as the 2025 Advocate of the Year during the Florida Advocacy Summit, honoring his outstanding leadership and commitment to advancing the credit union movement.

The Advocate of the Year Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to advocacy efforts by promoting and protecting the credit union mission at the state and national levels.

“Being named the 2025 Advocate of the Year in Florida is incredibly meaningful to me,” said Miller. “I believe deeply in the role credit unions play in changing financial lives, and strong partnerships with The League and policymakers help make sure our members’ voices are heard where decisions are made.”

Through his work at Addition Financial Credit Union and continued involvement in advocacy initiatives, including service on the Florida Advocacy Committee, Miller has played a meaningful role in strengthening relationships with lawmakers and elevating awareness of the credit union difference. His engaged and responsive advocacy leadership—hosting legislators at branch locations and addressing local policy matters such as school board engagement—has helped ensure that credit unions remain a strong, trusted financial resource for the members and communities they serve.

“Kevin Miller has been a consistent and effective advocate for both his credit union and the broader movement,” said Christopher Hodge, Senior Director of Governmental Affairs at The League. “From hosting legislators at branches to engaging on policy, his dedication ensures that credit unions remain a strong, effective voice for their members and communities.”

“When credit unions engage early and often, they can shape better outcomes,” shared Samantha A.M. Beeler, President of The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates. “Kevin Miller’s proactive approach with lawmakers and local officials has helped advance credit union priorities and drive meaningful policy progress across Florida.”

The League congratulates Kevin Miller on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his continued dedication to advancing the credit union mission through advocacy and service across Florida.
