Fall Hike the Hill: Spotlight on Policymakers

The League’s Hike the Hill, held in coordination with America’s Credit Unions’ Congressional Caucus, gives League members a direct line to decision-makers in Washington, D.C. These conversations are central to ensuring credit union priorities are heard and understood at the highest levels of government.

This year’s program features meetings with two key voices shaping financial policy and regulation:

  • John Crews, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions Policy, U.S. Department of the Treasury
Crews oversees policy related to financial institutions and will provide perspective on Treasury’s approach to issues that impact credit unions.
  • Kyle Hauptman, Chairman, National Credit Union Administration (NCUA)
As head of the NCUA, Hauptman will share insights on regulatory priorities and the agency’s vision for the credit union system.

Alongside these featured meetings, participants will also take part in legislative and regulatory briefings and connect with lawmakers during League-led Hill visits.
