Credit Unions Connect with Congressman Don Beyer on Industry Priorities

The League recently joined Virginia Congressman Don Beyer and several member credit unions for a conversation focused on credit union priorities and emerging industry trends.

Discussion topics included the dual role of artificial intelligence in both preventing and enabling fraud, as well as its potential to streamline operations. Credit union leaders also reinforced the importance of maintaining the current interchange structure, continuing support for Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) funding, and expanding access to financial literacy resources.

The meeting was hosted by Arlington Community Federal Credit Union, with participation from Navy Federal Credit Union, Northwest Federal Credit Union, Apple Federal Credit Union, TruEnergy Federal Credit Union, Loudoun Credit Union, and Commonwealth One Federal Credit Union.
