Last week, The League welcomed credit union leaders to Pursell Farms and Orvis Shooting Grounds for Relax and Reload, a two-day retreat focused on idea-sharing, connection-building, and recharging.
Attendees enjoyed clear skies and scenic views while golfing, clay shooting, or unwinding at the spa for some well-deserved rest. Leadership sessions led by Michelle Roth, Vice President of Advocacy, encouraged thoughtful conversations around challenges, solutions, and the future of the credit union movement. A fireside chat featuring Steve Swofford, CEO of Alabama Credit Union, and Henry Armstrong, CEO of Auburn University Credit Union, left a lasting impression.
Leaders left the retreat feeling inspired and reenergized—ready to return to their teams and continue serving communities.
“For me, this was a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues across the region,” said Roy Bibb, CEO of MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union. “I was reminded that, no matter the specific differences or number of miles between credit unions, we are all dedicated to the same mission in each of our communities. We can learn from, lean on, and be inspired by each other.”
