A lawyer by training, Subramanyam worked in the private sector with several tech startups and as a technology policy advisor within the Obama administration before running for state office in Virginia. Throughout his time serving in the state legislature, first in the House of Delegates and later in the State Senate, he focused on lowering costs for everyday Virginians and improving education among other issues.
Since his election to Congress, Subramanyam has demonstrated a continued strong commitment to affordability and financial stability, supporting credit unions that stepped up to provide relief to federal employees impacted by the government shutdown.
The League is eager to continue building a collaborative relationship with Congressman Subramanyam and partnering on the issues that matter most to Virginians.
