Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union Puts Mobile Branch to Work for Big Diaper Drive

This October, Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union, located in Petersburg, Virginia, is helping the Greater Richmond credit union community come together in support of Little Hands Virginia’s Big Diaper Drive, an annual effort to provide diapers to families in need across Central Virginia.

From October 1–31, the Greater Richmond Chapter of Credit Unions is inviting area credit unions to serve as collection locations and contribute to Little Hands Virginia’s goal of collecting 400,000 diapers. Last year, Little Hands Virginia reached more than 10,000 children across the region.

Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union is helping make the community-wide effort possible by putting its Mobile Branch to work. On Monday, November 2, the Mobile Branch will travel throughout Greater Richmond to collect diaper donations from participating credit unions, bringing contributions from across the credit union community together in support of local families.

Participating credit unions will receive donation boxes and customizable Chapter-branded marketing materials to help engage their employees, members, and communities throughout the month.

Credit unions interested in joining the effort can sign up to participate in the Big Diaper Drive. Monetary donations can also be made through the Greater Richmond Chapter’s fundraising page.

The effort is another example of the People Helping People philosophy in action, with Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union and credit unions throughout Greater Richmond working together to make an impact in their community.
