First Florida Credit Union Named to Florida Trend’s “Best Companies to Work For in Florida” List for 13th Year

Florida Trend Magazine has once again named First Florida Credit Union, located in Jacksonville, Florida, to its prestigious annual “Best Companies to Work For in Florida” list, marking the 13th year the credit union has earned the honor.

“The recognition highlights First Florida Credit Union’s commitment to fostering a workplace where employees feel engaged, valued and supported,” said Brent Lister, President and CEO of First Florida Credit Union.

“Making this list is an honor, but being on it consistently for 13 of the last 14 years says something important about our priorities at First Florida Credit Union,” Lister said. “We know that our culture and how we treat our employees has direct impacts on how they treat our members. This is something we are very proud of.”

First Florida Credit Union ranked 24th among 53 mid-sized companies across the state this year, making it the second highest Jacksonville-based business — and the only credit union — on the list.

Best Companies To Work For In Florida is a survey managed by Florida Trend and Workforce Research Group and is endorsed by the HR Florida State Council. To compete, businesses underwent an evaluation based on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The research group then identifies the best employers in the region, all the while giving organizations employee feedback.
