Virginia Credit Union Empowers Women Through Financial Success Summit

Virginia Credit Union recently hosted its free annual Financial Success for Women Summit in Richmond, bringing women from across the community together for a day of financial education, connection, and empowerment. Mary Amyx, Vice President of Event Experience; Jasmine Mines, Director of Marketing; and Katie Bailey, Director of Member Communications, represented The League at the Summit.

Centered around the theme “Embrace Your Season,” the event featured sessions on investing, navigating financial challenges, career planning, sharing financial knowledge, and building long-term financial security. Keynote speaker Jean Chatzky, financial journalist, bestselling author, and founder and CEO of HerMoney, shared insights on women and money, including investing for the long term and building financial security.

By offering the Summit at no cost, Virginia Credit Union created an accessible opportunity for women to strengthen their financial knowledge and gain practical strategies for their financial journeys, highlighting the important role credit unions play in supporting financial well-being in their communities.
