From Music and Nature to Mental Health Care and Housing Support, VyStar Foundation Expands Services for Veterans in Northeast Florida

VyStar Foundation, located in Jacksonville, Florida, is recognizing four North Florida nonprofits for their commitment to supporting military members, veterans, and their families. As part of an overall $227,500 investment in 2026, the Foundation awarded funding to expand programs focused on food and housing stability, workforce development, and mental health services. These investments reflect VyStar Foundation’s commitment to creating long-term, positive outcomes for those who have served.

“Supporting veterans means investing in the services that help them build strong, fulfilling lives after service,” said Patricia McElroy, President of VyStar Foundation. “Through these partnerships, we’re working alongside trusted nonprofits to ensure veterans and their families have access to the care, resources, and opportunities they deserve.”

Grant recipients were recognized on the field prior to the first pitch at the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp baseball game on June 27.
