Recognizing the growth of scams in both volume and sophistication, ENGAGE 2026 attendees selected Scamnetic as the winner of this year’s Shark Tank competition for its approach to helping organizations identify and respond to emerging threats.
The Shark Tank competition featured four fintech companies, each given eight minutes to demonstrate how their solutions could help credit unions better serve and protect their members. Following the presentations and audience Q&A, attendees cast their votes for the solution they believed would provide the greatest benefit to the credit union movement.
Representing Scamnetic was Co-Founder and COO John Evans, who showcased the company’s KnowScam platform and discussed the challenges financial institutions face as scammers continue to evolve their tactics. His presentation focused on the importance of helping consumers recognize potential scams before financial losses occur and highlighted the role technology can play in strengthening consumer protection efforts.
Attendees responded enthusiastically to Scamnetic’s focus on proactive scam prevention and consumer awareness. As fraud continues to be a growing concern for financial institutions and the members they serve, the company’s approach resonated with participants looking for innovative ways to address one of the industry’s most persistent challenges.
As the winner of the 2026 Shark Tank competition, Scamnetic will have the opportunity to present a breakout session at the 2027 ENGAGE Conference, giving attendees a deeper look at the company’s approach to scam prevention and consumer protection.
The League congratulates Scamnetic on its Shark Tank victory and thanks all participating companies for contributing to a dynamic session that showcased innovation and emerging technology within the credit union industry.
