The Georgia Credit Union Association, a subsidiary of The League of Credit Unions, recognized Blake Graham, President and CEO of APCU | Center Parc Credit Union, as the 2025 Advocate of the Year during the Georgia Advocacy Summit, honoring his outstanding leadership and commitment to advancing the credit union movement.
The Advocate of the Year Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to advocacy efforts by promoting and protecting the credit union mission at the state and national levels.
“I am grateful to be recognized as the 2025 Advocate of the Year in Georgia,” said Graham. “Advocacy is essential to protecting the credit union model, and I’m proud to work alongside The League and credit union leaders across the state to engage policymakers, address critical issues like debanking, and ensure the credit union voice is clearly represented at the Georgia Capitol.”
Through his work at APCU | Center Parc Credit Union and continued involvement in advocacy initiatives, Graham has been a steadfast champion for Georgia credit union advocacy. From proactively engaging state leaders on critical issues such as efforts to restrict credit unions’ ability to make risk-based decisions to hosting high-impact legislative events and encouraging broad participation, he has played a meaningful role in strengthening relationships with lawmakers and elevating awareness of the credit union difference. His consistent leadership and commitment to advocacy have advanced statewide priorities and reinforced the credit union voice at the Georgia Capitol.
“Georgia’s advocacy efforts are stronger because of Blake’s leadership,” said Sydney Seral, Chief Advocacy Officer at The League. “From proactively engaging state leaders on critical issues like the onerous debanking bill to hosting high-impact legislative events and encouraging broad participation, his leadership has made a measurable impact on advancing our statewide advocacy priorities.”
“Effective advocacy requires participation, coordination, and leadership,” shared Samantha A.M. Beeler, President of The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates. “By actively engaging Georgia lawmakers and encouraging strong participation from credit unions statewide, Blake has helped move key advocacy priorities forward and reinforced the importance of a united voice at the Capitol.”
The League congratulates Blake Graham on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his continued dedication to advancing the credit union mission through advocacy and service across Georgia.
