Small Credit Union Progress Fund Provides $1,000 to Support Growth and Development

In 2025, the Credit Union Impact Foundation made a one-time enhanced investment by increasing Progress Funds to $1,500 per credit union, thanks to additional available funding. This expanded support allowed small credit unions to take advantage of even more opportunities to invest in training, planning, and services that strengthen their operations.

As we move into 2026, Progress Funds will return to the standard $1,000 level. This approach allows the Foundation to continue providing consistent, sustainable support to eligible credit unions year after year, ensuring the program’s long-term impact.

In addition to Progress Funds, small credit unions are encouraged to explore grant opportunities available through the Foundation’s Growth and Impact Program. These grants are designed to support efforts that enhance communities and advance credit union philanthropy.

About the Small Progress Fund

Funded by the Credit Union Impact Foundation, the Progress Fund is available to all affiliated credit unions with $150 million in assets or less. Each eligible credit union has an account established in its name with $1,000 that can be used toward a wide range of professional development opportunities, products, and services.

The funds may be applied to League education and training events, America’s Credit Unions education and training programs, strategic planning sessions coordinated with your Business Development Consultant, LEVERAGE products, FiCEP, and Select Partner offerings.

Please note that unused funds cannot be rolled over or transferred to other credit unions. For additional details or reimbursement assistance, contact Susan Lee with the Office of Small Credit Unions.
