Updates from America’s Credit Unions: Government Shutdown Support and Leadership Transition

America’s Credit Unions (ACU) continues to highlight the collective efforts of credit unions responding to member needs during the ongoing government shutdown. Credit unions are encouraged to share their stories by completing the Government Shutdown Survey. Responses will help streamline ACU’s ability to feature examples of how credit unions are stepping up to support their members and communities.

These stories, along with additional resources, are featured on ACU’s Government Shutdown Assistance webpage. By participating, credit unions can help demonstrate the strength and compassion of the movement at a national level.

In addition to these efforts, ACU welcomed Scott Simpson as its new President and CEO on Monday, November 3. Over the next few weeks, Scott will connect with credit unions of all sizes through various outreach opportunities, including town halls for large credit union CEOs and attendance at the Small Credit Union Conference in Kansas.

As ACU welcomes Scott, the organization also extends its appreciation to Jim Nussle, whose last day was October 31.

The League extends its best wishes to both Scott and Jim as they begin new chapters in their leadership journeys.
