The League Forms Reg E Task Force

Over the past year, The League has worked closely with credit unions to tackle challenges with Regulation E (Reg E), particularly the rising cost of fraud linked to outdated practices. While we successfully blocked legislation that would have expanded financial institutions’ liability under Reg E, it’s clear that a proactive approach is needed.

To address this, The League is launching a Reg E Task Force to develop recommendations for modernizing the regulation. We need credit union volunteers to help shape these reforms. The task force will meet no more than once a month for an hour.
