From championing legislation that allows credit unions to serve as public depositories to combating harmful state-level interchange bills and defending credit unions’ tax-exempt status against federal threats, The League remains steadfast in securing success—now and in the future. Advocacy is strongest when all credit unions stand together, and every voice makes a difference.
How You Can Get Involved
This year, The League has several exciting opportunities to strengthen the credit union movement. Here’s how credit unions can advocate:
- Stay Connected– Let The League know the best person at your credit union to stay informed about advocacy efforts by filling out this form for grassroots advocacy updates.
- Invite Lawmakers to Your Events – Planning a grand opening, reception, or community project? Collaborate with The League to invite your local representatives and give them the opportunity to experience the Credit Union Difference firsthand.
- Join The League at ENGAGE– Be sure to mark your calendars! The ENGAGE Conference in Orlando, FL (June 10–13) will highlight advocacy, featuring special events such as the Advocacy Luncheon and Karaoke for CUPAC. This is an opportunity you won’t want to miss!
