Lizeth GeorgeThe League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) Advocacy Team had a fantastic time connecting with our member credit unions in Orlando, Florida last week at the Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo (SCUCE)!
In addition to one-on-one time with our credit union community, we were also able to raise funds for LSCU’s four Political Action Committees (PACs). Our fundraising efforts were made possible through the Silent Auction, the Advocacy Luncheon, and a new addition this year, Caricature Drawings at the LSCU Advocacy booth.
Thanks to our members’ generous contributions and active involvement, we are thrilled to announce that we raised nearly $35,000 for our PACs! This significant amount underscores the strong support and commitment of our credit unions towards advocating for our industry’s interests and promoting legislative priorities that benefit our members and communities.
We look forward to achieving even greater milestones together at Hike the Hill in Washington, D.C. from September 23-26, 2024.
