ATV Titling Legislation Passes in Alabama

Yesterday, the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) and Alabama credit union leaders were honored to stand with Governor Kay Ivey as she signed legislation that will require the titling of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs). With full support of Alabama law enforcement, this mandate, for off-road vehicles manufactured after January 2026, will help to determine ownership of the vehicle, deter theft, and facilitate repossession if necessary. Based on input from Alabama’s credit unions, this issue was a top legislative priority for 2024.

We appreciate your continued support in reaching this major victory and hope it will be helpful to your members.

If you have any questions, please contact LSCU’s Senior Director of Governmental Affairs in Alabama, Michelle Roth.
