adminSpace Coast Credit Union, headquartered in Melbourne, FL has appointed Timothy M. Antonition as its new president and chief executive officer following the death of CEO Doug Samuels, who passed away on May 12.
Antonition, formerly the credit union’s EVP and chief operating officer, first joined Space Coast in 1992. Over the years he has worked in various jobs at the credit union, including document specialist, member service representative, branch supervisor, branch manager, and area manager.
In 1998, he was promoted to vice president of branch sales and services, South Brevard region, and assumed responsibility for all branch operations in 1999. In 2011, he was promoted to chief operating officer, after having overseen SCCU’s 2009 merger with Eastern Financial Federal Credit Union.
